QSecore Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 5, 2025

Effective Date: August 5, 2025

QSecore Limited (hereinafter “we”, “us”, or the “Company”) recognizes the importance of your personal information and is committed to protecting it responsibly and transparently. We adhere to principles including purpose limitation, data minimization, lawful processing, informed choice, accountability, individual participation, and openness. We employ industry-standard security solutions and preventive measures to safeguard your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, manage, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

This policy applies to all services provided by us under the QSecore brand, regardless of the mobile device or operating system used. Key points include:

·  The types of personal information we collect and their purposes, so you can understand which personal data we collect for which features and why.

·  Any sensitive information collection (e.g., camera, contacts) only occurs with your explicit consent when you use features like encrypted photo capture or contact access. Refusal does not affect other features.

·  We do not share or transfer your personal information to third parties, unless you give explicit consent, except where necessary to protect user rights or system integrity. Any information sharing undergoes risk assessment.

·  We currently do not obtain data from third parties. If this need arises, we will inform you of data source, type, and usage, and obtain your explicit consent if processing exceeds your original authorization. We require third parties to comply with legal requirements.

1.  How We Collect Your Personal Information

During your use of QSecore, we collect information either voluntarily provided by you, or generated through use of services, for purposes of providing, enhancing, and securing those services:

(i)  Essential Data for Basic Services: Required for core functionality (e.g., registering or logging in). Without this, basic features will not function.

(ii)  Optional Data for Additional Features: Collected only with your permission; refusal affects only the related feature.

Because different users may utilize different features and services, data collection and scope vary accordingly. As new or improved features are introduced, we will disclose any changes in what is collected and why, request your explicit consent where needed, and provide avenues for comments or inquiries.

To enhance security, the QSecore app may collect your installed app list to detect foreground status, display passcode screens, enable sharing to other apps, and detect app crashes or anomalies.

Examples by feature:

(i)  Registration/Login: Phone number required; SMS verification is used for authentication.

(ii)  File/Gallery Import: Requires storage and gallery permissions for importing media.

(iii)  Camera/Video Recording: Requires camera and storage access for capturing and saving media.

(iv)  Notes: Access to storage, gallery, and microphone for adding images or voice notes.

(v)  Meeting Room: Microphone and camera access for video conferencing.

(vi)  Invite Feature: Network permission needed to share download links.

(vii)  Messaging & Calls: Requires microphone, camera, contacts, storage, and gallery depending on the mode (voice message, photo, video call).

(viii)  Settings Access (e.g., biometric login, reset): Requires fingerprint, phone number, and network permissions.

Other device data (e.g., IMEI, serial number) may be collected with permission to track usage statistics and ensure correct functionality.

In situations permitted by law—such as compliance with public authority, national security, public health, criminal investigation, emergency situations, or publicly disclosed data—we may collect or use personal information without your consent. Examples include: legal obligations, major public safety concerns, performance of contracts, publicly available data.

2.  How We Store Your Personal Information

(i)  Location: Information collected in Malaysia is stored in Malaysia. Any cross-border data transfers will comply with legal requirements.

(ii)  Retention Period: We retain data for the minimum time required by law (e.g. PRC Cybersecurity Law). If unspecified by law, we retain information only as long as necessary for the processing purpose.

3.  How We Protect Your Personal Information

We implement industry-standard security measures to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure. Examples include:

(ii)  Anonymization, software hardening to prevent malware, secure transmission, and secure storage

(iii)  Strict access controls, confidentiality obligations, and audit mechanisms

In the event of a data breach or security incident, we will enact our emergency response plan, contain the incident, and notify you via push notification or announcement.

4.  How We Use Your Information

Your data is used to improve service quality and comply with legal obligations. Key uses include:

(i)  Providing, maintaining, and improving product functionality and services

(ii)  Creating and verifying user accounts

(iii)  Authenticating identity (e.g. via SMS for login)

(iv)  Communicating with you—e.g. for feedback tracking and support

(v)  Any lawful business operations or statutory duties

5.  Information Sharing & Disclosure

(i)  We do not share or transfer personal data to third parties without explicit consent, except to protect user or platform security.

(ii)  User-generated content (messages, files) is encrypted and not used for commercial purposes.

(iii)  Legal exceptions—cases where disclosure may be required without consent: legal compliance, public or national security, emergencies, criminal investigations, public data, contract performance, public information channels.

(iv)  We also evaluate third-party data access risks: we vet their security measures and carefully monitor SDK/API usage.

We currently integrate several third-party SDKs—including for login authentication, crash reporting, analytics, social sharing, push services, mapping, and voice services—with detailed descriptions of each integration and permissions provided to you separately.

6.  Your Rights

You have rights to access, correct, delete your personal information; withdraw consent for processing; and request account deletion. We provide channels for complaints and inquiries and commit to prompt responses.

7.  Policy Updates

We may revise this policy as required. When changes occur, we will notify you via in-app pop-ups, push notifications, or similar. Continued use indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

8.  Protection of Minors

Our services are designed for adults. For users under 18, parental or guardian written consent is required before account registration.
